<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
For some thermal medias, the edge pixels of the stroke are written will less
power as there is no 'neighbour' to help it on one side. The DPE compenstates
for this by writing the same pixel on the next swath effectively overwriting
the last pixel off the previous swath. And the carriage slows down just
enough to overlap the first pixel of the next swath with the first pixel of the
previous swath.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Note that the carriage speed is calculated based on stroke width - 1 when escan
is enabled. This will reduce the throughput, but this is quite negligible.

<DescriptionText><text>
For most thermal plates, this parameter should be enabled, while for film
medias, this parameters should be disabled.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
If the NVS media "overwriting" parameter (a.k.a "interleaving" or
"special_plot_mode" on older firmware versions) is used, this parameter may be
ignored, depending on the machine and plot mode. See the documentation on
the NVS parameter "media ow" for more information.
